The Advantages and Disadvantages of Being a Woman?

by Opal Woodward

I will start with disadvantages first as they were what I learned first:

1. Breasts:

a. Men (most often) forget where your eyes are and speak to your breasts instead.

b. They get in the way when running, jogging and other similar activities.

c. As you age they migrate south.

2. Beauty:

a. Women are judged far too often by their looks .

b. Natural women cannot compete or compare to the airbrushed, silicone injected, tucked and lifted, personally trained, personal “chef-ed”, professionally made up, professionally dressed by stylists and so on…the bar is set so high and unrealistically on “artificial” beauty it’s depressing.

3. When a woman expresses her opinion, it’s often viewed as bitching.

4. Inequality in pay

5. Women are still viewed as property or second class citizens around the world.

6. Our capability and intelligence is greatly underestimated and valued.

Advantages:

1. We can multitask like our life depends on it. And actually get it all completed.

2. We are capable of great degrees of compassion and love (but don’t piss us off because we can and will hurt you!)

3. We can distract you with our breasts without even trying.

4. We have a high tolerance for pain.

5. We are intelligent and capable.

6. Women are constantly pushing forward to better their lives and the lives of men and women around the world.

Historically having spent so much time being considered a second class citizen we have a FIRE lit under ourselves to CHANGE perceptions, stop injustices and abuse against women and show our worth…

  1. The speaking to your boobs part is so annoying. I love my gender, Just wish it didn't come with the red days.
